Who we are

This site is operated by Generatrix, LLC, a Florida limited liability company based in Tampa, Florida. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Generatrix, LLC.

Generatrix, LLC decides what information this site collects and what happens to it, and is therefore the controller of that information. Our service providers, such as our hosting and email providers, handle data on our behalf and on our instructions only.

Scope

This policy covers this website and the valuation calculator on it. It explains what we collect when you use the calculator, request a valuation report, or contact us.

What we collect

We collect only what is needed to produce your estimate and answer your requests.

Calculator inputs. Industry, annual revenue, EBITDA, optional normalization figures such as owner compensation and one-time expenses, and context about your ownership role, timing, and reason for seeking a valuation.
Contact details you choose to give us. Name and email address, and optionally a phone number and a note about what you would like to discuss. The calculator can be used without entering any of this; it is requested only when you ask for the report by email.
Messages you send us through the contact form, including the topic you select and the message itself.
Usage data, only with your consent. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics collects standard usage signals such as pages viewed and steps completed. See our Cookie Policy.

We do not ask for and do not want financial account numbers, tax identifiers, or documents. Please do not send them through this site.

How we use it

To calculate and display your valuation range.
To email you the valuation report when you ask for it.
To respond to a message you send us.
To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and where it can be improved. This happens only if you consent to analytics.

Where we rely on your consent, such as analytics, you may withdraw it at any time. Where we process your details to answer a request you made, we do so in order to provide what you asked for.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your contact details with third parties for their marketing.
We do not send your financial inputs or valuation figures to analytics providers.
We do not add you to a marketing list because you used the calculator. Any educational email you receive is one you opted into, and every such message can be unsubscribed from.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers who handle data on our behalf and only on our instructions. Today those are our hosting provider, which runs the site and its database; Amazon Web Services, whose Simple Email Service delivers the valuation report and other transactional email; and, only with your consent, Google, which provides analytics. If we later connect a customer relationship management system to hold enquiries, this policy will be updated to say so.

Data is processed in the United States. If you are contacting us from elsewhere, your information will be transferred there.

How long we keep it

Valuation submissions that come with contact details are retained while your enquiry is live and for as long as it remains useful for following up with you. Contact form messages are retained for as long as needed to deal with the matter raised. Where a valuation is submitted by someone outside the audience this service is intended for, no contact record is kept at all.

We do not currently operate an automatic deletion schedule. If you would like your information removed before then, ask us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw consent to analytics at any time through the Cookie Policy page, without affecting anything you have already done on the site.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to object to certain processing and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We will honour these requests regardless of where you are.

To make any of these requests, use our contact form and choose the privacy topic. We will not charge you and will not ask you to justify the request.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to the systems holding submissions is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use your judgement about what you send us. As above, we neither need nor want sensitive financial documents or identifiers.

Children

This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service develops, including when we add a customer relationship management system or change providers. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
