The short version

This site sets no cookies of its own. The only thing it stores in your browser by default is a single entry recording whether you accepted or declined analytics, so that you are not asked repeatedly. Cookies appear only if you consent to analytics, and they are set by Google rather than by us.

What we store without asking

One item in your browser’s local storage, named va-consent, holding the word “granted” or “denied”. It records your own choice about analytics. It contains no identifier, is never sent to us or to anyone else, and remains on your device until you clear it or clear your browser storage.

Storing a record of your choice is what lets us honour it. There is no way to remember that you declined without remembering something.

Analytics cookies, only with your consent

If you choose Accept in the consent banner, we load Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to understand how the site and calculator are used, for example which steps people complete and where they stop. Google then sets its own cookies, typically _ga and a container-specific _ga_… cookie, which distinguish one browser from another and ordinarily persist for up to two years.

Analytics storage is denied by default and stays denied unless you accept. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set.

We deliberately do not send analytics your financial inputs, your valuation figures, or your contact details. Analytics receives usage signals only.

Advertising

We use no advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not permit third parties to set them here. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated and your consent asked before any such cookie is set.
